Description
Silicon metal, also known as crystalline silicon or industrial silicon, is mainly used as an alloying agent for nonferrous alloy. Silicon metal is used silica and coke as raw materials, and smelting in an electric furnace. The Si content is more than 98%, and also contains a small amount of impurities such as Fe, Al, Ca, etc.
Application
Silicon metal is widely used in the refractory and metallurgical industry. Adding a certain amount of silicon metal can improve the high temperature resistance, wear resistance, oxidation resistance of the product.
